FAQ

Barbershop questions, answered

Still not sure?

Call the shop and ask.

(626) 967-0560
Do you take walk-ins?

Yes. Walk-ins are welcome at Ramon's Barber Shop. If you want a set time, book online and your chair is held for you.

How long is the wait for a walk-in?

It depends on the day. Weekday mornings are usually the quickest; Saturdays are the busiest. Call (626) 967-0560 before you head over and we'll tell you how it looks, or book online to skip the wait.

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes. The shop is good for kids, and kids haircuts start from $20. All ages are welcome, first haircuts included.

How much is a haircut?

A haircut starts from $25. Fades start from $28, beard trims from $15, hot towel shaves from $25 and kids cuts from $20. Seniors get a discount.

Where do I park?

Park free in the Covina Plaza lot at 831 W Covina Blvd, right in front of the shop.

What payment do you take?

Cash and cards. Call ahead if you need to check a specific card.

How do I book an appointment?

Book online from any Book button on this site, or call (626) 967-0560. Walk-ins are welcome too.

What are your hours?

Ramon's Barber Shop is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM (closed Sunday and Monday). Holidays can change things, so call (626) 967-0560 if you're not sure.

It's my first visit. What should I know?

Bring a photo of a cut you like, or of your last good cut. Tell the barber how often you usually get a haircut and how much time you spend styling. That's enough for a good first cut.

What's the difference between a fade and a taper?

A taper shortens the hair gradually at the sideburns and neckline and keeps some length at the edges. A fade blends all the way down to very short or bare skin, so the contrast is sharper. Ask for a taper if you want it subtle and a fade if you want it crisp.

How often should I get a haircut?

Fades and very short cuts start losing their shape after about two to three weeks. Medium and longer styles usually go four to six weeks between cuts. Beards look best with a cleanup every two to four weeks.

Do you do beard trims and hot towel shaves?

Yes. Beard trims and hot towel shaves are both on the menu, on their own or with a haircut.

Are you hiring barbers?

Yes. We're adding three chairs, booth rent or commission. See the hiring page to apply.

How long has Ramon's Barber Shop been in Covina?

Since 1974. That's more than fifty years of cutting hair in Covina.
